Although I had some issues with the defective HDMI cable, this receiver handled the cable box imput and the output to the smart TV with just the simplist of ease. It was a nice sound and when I hooked up the sub-woofer, this thing really kicked some butt. Although I do not like the sound level indicators on the receiver and the inputs that make the receiver a little challenging when choosing inputs, buying a universal Logitech remote relieved me of this problem, The receiver is a good buy, nicely fits into my storage unit I bought at Wayfair and will surely play all the music & movies I ever want.
