Page Content The City of Bunbury supplies residents with three bins — one for general rubbish, one for recycling, and one for organic material. Each week you put out two bins: The organics bin (lime green bin) is the main service and is collected weekly. Rubbish bins (red or dark green lid) are collected fortnightly on the opposite week to recycling. Recycling bins (yellow lid) are collected fortnightly on the opposite week to rubbish. To find out your rubbish, recycling, and organic bin days download the calendar here * Changes to bin collections on Christmas Day and Boxing Day: rubbish usually collected on Friday 25th December will be collected on Sunday 27 December. On collection day Bins should be placed within one metre of the road kerb, and about a meter apart, by 6am on collection day, with the handles facing towards the property. The bin must not block footpaths or driveways. Bins should be placed clear of parked cars, trees and poles to allow clear access to the service vehicles. What can go in each bin Only waste placed inside the bin will be collected.
